The Dean's Dish

Closing the Teach For America Blogging Gap

About

I started as a 2005 Corps Member teaching high school chemistry in Saint Louis.  After four years in the classroom, a Masters’ in Secondary School Administration, and successfully passing the Principal’s Licensing Exam, I stepped on the other side of the educational reform movement at my placement school.  My current role, Dean of Academics, allows me to influence building level items like the master schedule, expenditure of Title I funds,  our school improvement plan, and helping to set a college going culture for all of our students.  This summer I will serve as a School Director at the Chicago Institute, a role I am very excited to take.
